Nike Training Club Social Media

Nike Training Club Social Media

Since the entry of Nike Women (formerly Nike Training Club) to Canada in 2013, social media has played a huge role in reaching and connecting with active, Canadian females. On the heels of successfully launching the brand, we set an ambitious goal to be the number one source of digital training and lifestyle inspiration. Achieving this meant relying on a strong belief that locally relevant content drives locally engaged consumers.

Responsible for developing social media strategies, content, reporting and community management, we executed a plan to push her, motivate her, surprise her and empower her. With seasonal photo shoots featuring Canadian women, we were able to break-through and connect on real-time cultural moments, Nike product, events, athletes and trainers.

Our locally focused strategy generated higher engagement than global content, and as a result the brand organically reached more women, daily. A highly-engaged community taking part in conversation, participating in events, downloading the app, and sharing with friends, fueled growth – more than double the acquisition targets of the first 6 months.

In 2015 we transitioned the 85,000 strong Nike Women Canada social community into the amalgamated Nike Canada ecosystem.
